Since 1991, Christ Clinic/Christ Kitchen has transformed lives by communicating the love of God to our neighbors in need. We believe that complete health includes the total person – body, mind, and soul. We provide primary and behavioral health care for under-insured, hurting people and bring work, job-training, fellowship and discipleship to women in poverty.
As people grow and heal they become contributing members of the community. Our patients and employees are regaining hope, calming the chaos of poverty and learning to stand on their own two feet.
With an emphasis on dignity, not dependence, our greatest accomplishments are seen when our patients and employees at Christ Kitchen become self‐sufficient and Christ dependent.
Established, proven and respected by major medical partners and through community involvement, Christ Clinic/Christ Kitchen meets the needs of over 1,400 patients each year and mentors and employs between 50 – 100 women in poverty annually.
The love of Christ is transforming lives every day through the ministry of Christ Clinic/Christ Kitchen.
Healing the body, healing the soul.
We are a Christ-centered, patient-focused, non-profit, primary care clinic that communicates God’s love by meeting the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the underinsured who are experiencing poverty and difficult circumstances through the delivery of excellent health care.
WHAT WE DO
Throughout the Bible, the people of God are challenged to advocate for and help the needy. Christ’s example to us demonstrates that His offer of new life is very often associated with physical and psychological healing and the restoration of personal, familial and occupational functions. Many of our neighbors are without employment, financial reserves, health insurance coverage and access to essential primary health care.
As Christian health professionals, the staff of Christ Clinic has the opportunity to fulfill Christ’s commands and follow his example by using their gifts to help meet these needs in an affordable and respectful way. Christ Clinic also recognizes this as a unique opportunity to help rehabilitate broken people, restore function, encourage self-sufficiency and promote the good news of the Gospel.
A place of hope for women in poverty.
Christ Kitchen is a ministry whose mission is to reveal Christ through work, job-training and discipleship with women living in poverty.
WHAT WE DO
Christ Kitchen is a Christ-centered, non-denominational ministry providing employment, job training, discipleship, support and fellowship for women living in poverty in the Spokane area. Through the production and sales of gourmet dried food products, this ministry empowers women to learn to work, become employable and eventually to support themselves and their families without reliance on government programs or destructive relationships.
When you use any Christ Kitchen product or service, you are literally changing lives. The women who work at Christ Kitchen are here to fill a need in their lives, whether it is companionship, job training or to earn a little money. But what they get is so much more. Many learn about Jesus for the first time, while others renew an old relationship. The women grow and learn to love the Lord and love themselves, even if they live in difficult circumstances. They learn decision-making skills, develop self-esteem, confidence and a new perspective on life.
